1st Day: Arrival at Athens International airport and transfer to your central located hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or to discover the beauties of the historic city of Athens.
2nd Day: Breakfast at your hotel and about 08.30 in the morning, departure for the Athens Sightseeing tour. We’ll see the Parliament, the tomb of unknown soldier at Syntagma square, the Panathinaikon stadium where the first Olympic games took place in 1896, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Catholic Cathedral, the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, the National Library and the Acropolis of Athens, where we’ll visit the Propylae, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. By the end of the tour transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. You can discover the traditional neighbourhood of Plaka with the old houses, the souvenir shops and the Greek restaurants with the delicious Greek dishes.
3rdDay: Early in the morning, transfer to Piraeus port to catch the boat to Santorini island. Arrival at Santorini and transfer to your hotel. Santorini island combines the beautiful beaches with the black volcanic sand, the ancient cities (Minoan city in Acrotiri), the best sunset in the world in Oia, the amazing restaurants, the unique local products like wine and an active volcano. Santorini is an ideal tourism destination for couples, singles, families and honeymooners. Free time for swimming at the volcano black sandy beach of Kamari.
4th Day: After breakfast at your hotel, we suggest you the optional Archaeological guided bus tour to Acrotiri excavations, Red beach and sunset in Oia. The tour starts with the breath taking view and visit of the Prophet Elias Monastery. Then follows Megalochori village, an extremely charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after the big earthquake. The visit continues to Acrotiri excavations, one of the most significant archaeological sites, destroyed by the volcano’s eruption 3600 years ago and preserved buried under the volcano’s lava. Then you’ll have free time at the Red beach to simply enjoy the colourful formations of the mountain and visit Acrotiri bay for coffee or lunch with Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo (not included in the price). Next stop at Perivolos, with its black sandy beach, where you’ll have enough time to enjoy swimming, explore the area and taste fresh cooked fishes at the local tavernas. Last stop in one of the most popular wineries of Santorini, for a wine testing experience.
5th Day: Breakfast at your hotel. Today, our proposal is an optional Caldera Morning Cruise, with the traditional motor boat. The tour starts with the bus transfer from the meeting point to the port of Athinios and continues with the traditional boat to the lava island of Nea Kammeni. The boat will make a stop, to give us the opportunity to ascend the soil path and approach the crater of the still active volcano. After seeing the crater we’ll walk back down the path and get on the boat. We’ll sail to second lava island of Palea Kammeni and reach the Hot Springs. The boat stops about 50 meters away, so you can dive in the green sulphur waters of the Hot Springs or relax and enjoy the view. The tour continues to Thirasia island which was part of Santorini before the big explosion of the volcano. We’ll stay in Thirasia island for 2 hours, having the chance for swimming, have lunch next to the sea or explore the village of Manolas with its winding steps and traditional houses. Sailing under Oia village, on the way to Athinios port, you can take wonderful pictures of the cliffs and the breathtaking scenery. At the port of Athinios, the bus we’ll be waiting for you, for your transfer to the departure point.
6th Day: Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to the port to catch the boat to Mykonos island. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Mykonos is the Greek island with the golden beaches, the crystal clear waters, the culture of centuries, the magical nights, the hospitality, the fun, the unforgettable love, the incomparable feeling. Mykonos is the a fantastic tourist destination for couples, singles, families and honeymooners. Free time for swimming at the sandy, organized beach of Agios Ioannis.
7th Day: Breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast at your hotel, we suggest you the optional tour to Delos island. The meeting is at the port at about 09.00 in the morning. After a short 30min boat ride to Delos island, you will meet there your tour guide and history expert. You will have a 2-hour walking tour through the ancient ruins, with plenty of information about the history of Greek mythology. You have 1-hour free time on the island to explore yourself the site after you return to Mykonos by boat again. The ancient island of Delos is a very extensive and rich archaeological site that combines ancient art, history, and architecture with a unique location in the center of the Greek Cycladic islands. Since 1990 it is a Unesco World Heritage site. This sacred island of the ancient Greek world was the birthplace of Apollo – the god of the sun and daylight, and his twin sister Artemis – the goddess of the moon and the night light. Delos was an important cosmopolitan Hellenistic settlement and after its declaration as a free port became a center point of commercial activity in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Rich merchants and ship owners assigned artists and craftsmen to build luxurious houses richly decorated with frescoes and mosaic floors of outstanding beauty. In the afternoon free time for swimming at the sandy, family friendly Elia beach. One of the most popular beaches of Mykonos.
8th Day: Breakfast at your hotel. Today, our proposal is an optional Mykonos island tour. Meeting at a central point of Mykonos Town, where you will meet your tour guide and have a small briefing. Discover this beautiful island on a comfortable bus ride with stops at the most beautiful viewpoints and beaches as well as the traditional village of Ano Mera. You will have free time to stroll over the picturesque village square and to visit the 16th-century monastery Panagia Tourliani with its artistic marble bell tower and impressive icon wall.
On this tour, you will get plenty of information about the traditions, history, architecture and modern life of the island. The bus tour is followed by a guided city walk through Mykonos town and to the most famous spots like Little Venice, the windmills, Paraportiani church, as well as the beautiful whitewashed streets and little alleys and Mykonos harbor front. The tour ends at the bus stop of the old port. Later, free time for swimming at the famous Paradise or Super Paradise beach, attracting mostly young people for the day and night beach parties.
9th Day: Breakfast at your hotel, and transfer to the port to catch the boat to Piraeus. Arrival and transfer to your central hotel in Athens. Free time to visit the old town of Athens at Thisseion, where you can see the ancient Doric temple of Hephaestus (446-442 B.C.), the stoa Attalou museum at ancient Agora, the Monastiraki square with the Flea Market, the Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrhestes which is the first meteorological station of the ancient times, the Roman Agora, the famous Plaka area at the northern slopes of Acropolis with the small shops of souvenirs where you can enjoy your dinner at a traditional Greek tavern.
10th Day: After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Athens International airport to catch your flight.
